**AI Engineer – Remote (United States) – Up to $200,000**

About the Organisation

A major technology and consulting partner to government and defence customers is looking to expand its AI capabilities. The organisation delivers large scale modernisation programmes, including secure cloud adoption, enterprise cyber initiatives, data platforms, analytics solutions, and advanced software engineering. Their work spans sensitive and high impact programmes, from modernising legacy environments to implementing new digital services, automation, and AI driven decision support for public sector and national security missions.

The Role

You will join a focused AI engineering group inside a much larger technology business. This team is building an internal agent based AI platform that will be adopted across the company by many thousands of users. The position is highly visible, working closely with senior leadership and reporting into the executive responsible for AI strategy. Your work will centre on designing, implementing, and scaling production ready AI agents and supporting services.

What They Are Looking For

Several years of hands on experience delivering artificial intelligence or machine learning solutions, including designing, training, and deploying models into production.
Strong practical knowledge of mainstream ML and deep learning frameworks and their surrounding ecosystems.
Experience working with modern agent frameworks such as LangGraph, LlamaIndex, MCP, or similar technologies used to orchestrate tools, context, and multi step reasoning.
Background working in cloud based environments. Exposure to Microsoft Azure is especially valuable, but experience with AWS, Google Cloud, or Oracle Cloud is also relevant.
A bachelor’s degree in a computing, engineering, mathematics, or data related field.

Because of the customer base and the nature of the projects, applicants must be United States citizens. The role may involve work that in future requires obtaining a security clearance.
