Position Overview

The Software Tester will provide quality assurance services to support web and mobile application initiatives. The role involves creating, maintaining, and executing detailed manual test cases while collaborating closely with cross-functional teams in both Agile and Waterfall environments.

Key Responsibilities

Develop, document, and execute manual test cases for vended web and mobile applications.
Perform validation and verification testing for new and modified applications.
Investigate operational or process issues with technical and engineering teams.
Maintain testing records, quality metrics, and test libraries within test management tools (e.g., Quality Center).
Contribute to quality reviews and apply quality controls for both internal and vendor-provided products.
Support and mentor team members on testing best practices and software verification processes.
Prepare testing reports and coordinate project testing activities.

Required Skills & Experience

Hands-on experience testing vended applications and web/mobile apps.
Proficient with Azure DevOps (ADO) and familiar with Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
Strong documentation, analytical, and organizational skills.
Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
Proven experience managing testing priorities across multiple product lines.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, browsers).
Ability to interpret business, functional, and design specifications to validate system functionality.

Preferred Skills

Experience with Aha! project development software.
Prior work experience in healthcare or clinical environments.
Familiarity with test management tools (e.g., Quality Center).
Project management experience.

Education Requirements

Required:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field with training/experience in software development, testing, or quality control; OR
Associate’s degree in a computer-related field plus 2 years of professional experience; OR
6 years of professional experience in software development, testing, or quality control.

Preferred:

Certification/training in quality or testing (e.g., ISO Service Management, CSTP, ITIL).
