At Crossing Hurdles, we work as a referral partner. We refer candidates to our partner that collaborates with world’s leading AI research labs to build and train cutting-edge AI models.

Position: Food Expert

Referral Partner: Crossing Hurdles

Type: Hourly Contract

Compensation: $35–$50/hour

Location: Remote

Commitment: 10–40 hours/week

Role Responsibilities (Training support will be provided)

Create and assess complex problems and tasks in the field of food, including culinary knowledge, nutrition, food culture, and consumer dining experiences.
Evaluate AI-generated outputs for accuracy, practicality, and relevance to real-world food and culinary practices.
Provide clear written feedback on food-related content and recommendations to enhance AI's understanding of food-related tasks.
Collaborate asynchronously with AI researchers and engineers to iterate and improve the model's performance.
Ensure accuracy and alignment with culinary and food industry standards in all content used to train or evaluate AI systems.

Requirements

Deep personal or professional experience with food, cooking, culinary arts, nutrition, or related consumer-facing industries.
Strong knowledge of food preparation, dining cultures, cuisines, and consumer preferences.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills to articulate complex food-related concepts clearly.
Strong attention to detail and practical thinking.
Prior experience in culinary arts, hospitality, food writing, or content creation for food and dining is a plus.
