Job Specifications

As a Linux Software Engineer, you will design, develop, and optimize software for complex, technical applications in high-tech domains.

In this role, you contribute to solutions for clients in telecom, industrial automation, video/audio processing, and IoT. You will be involved in all phases of the development process – from analysis and design to implementation, testing, and documentation. Thanks to long-term projects, you will have the opportunity to dive deep and work with cutting-edge technology.

What excites you as a Linux Software Engineer?

Based from one of our offices in Belgium and in average 3 days per week at our clients' office you like to keep yourself busy with:

Developing embedded Linux platforms, device drivers, and applications (Yocto, U-Boot, Buildroot).
Working with multithreaded systems, C/C++ development, and Python scripting.
Integration with hardware, cloud platforms, and network protocols (TCP/IP, VoIP, XMPP).
Use of container technologies (Docker, LXC, Kubernetes).
Managing build and CI/CD systems (Git, Jenkins).
Optimizing real-time performance and resource usage.
Applying modern development methodologies such as Agile/Scrum, DevOps, and test automation.

Sounds good so far? We'd love to tell you more…

This is what you bring to the table

Bachelor or Master degree in software engineering, electronics, or computer science.
Solid knowledge of (embedded) Linux and experience with technical software development.
Strong in C or C++, and familiar with Python for scripting and testing.
Familiar with open-source tools like Yocto, OpenWRT, or Qt.
Quality-focused with solid testing skills and debugging experience.
Fluent in Dutch and English.

Work experience in cloud platforms (AWS, GCP), virtualization, audio/video standards (MPEG-2/4, HLS, H.264), and/or protocols such as MQTT and ZWave is a pre.

This is what you can expect in return

An indefinite contract with a stable employer in full growth.
A competitive salary complemented with additional benefits (company car with fuel card, group insurance, hospitalization insurance, expense allowance, meal vouchers).
Personal coaching and a generous training budget of €6,000 per year, enabling you to continuously develop yourself.
Flexible and hybrid working.
We value a healthy work-life balance.
You will receive 20 vacation days + 12 additional compensation days (ADV). Work alongside the best in their field, who share your passion for technology.
A warm and collegial culture where knowledge sharing and enjoyment are central. From family events and unique activities with colleagues, to innovative knowledge sessions and delightful lunches.
