The IT Service Design & Introduction Manager will be responsible for overseeing the design and introduction of IT services within the financial services sector. This temporary role in London requires a detail-oriented professional with a strong understanding of technology and service management.
Client Details
The hiring company is a medium-sized organisation operating in the financial services industry.
Description
Support the creation and execution of Service Design Packages (SDPs) for new or changed services.
Ensure all service components (SLAs, OLAs, support models, runbooks, monitoring) are defined, validated, and approved before go-live.
Collaborate with delivery and technical teams to ensure services are resilient, scalable, and supportable from day one.
Maintain traceability of design decisions to meet regulatory, compliance, and audit requirements.
Contribute to the development and governance of Service Design & Introduction processes, templates, and workflows.
Coordinate operational readiness activities including support documentation, escalation paths, and monitoring setup.
Liaise with Technology, Risk, Compliance, and Business stakeholders to ensure service readiness.
Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in service transition practices and tooling.
Experience in IT Service Design and Transition within financial services.
Familiarity with ITIL v4 frameworks and service management tools such as ServiceNow.
Strong documentation, process design, and stakeholder engagement skills.
Profile
ITIL v4.
Project management certification.
Proficiency in tools like Visio & SharePoint for service documentation and process mapping.
Background in enterprise architecture or solution design.
Experience working with Japanese or Asian financial institutions is a plus.
Knowledge of DORA (Digital Operational Resilience Act) is advantageous.
A solid understanding of ITIL principles and service management frameworks.
Experience in managing service transitions and stakeholder engagement.
Strong analytical skills to assess and improve service performance.
Job Offer
Competitive daily rate between £450 and £540.
