07:00 – 15:00
Days: Monday to Friday
Security Clearance: Candidates must be willing to undergo SC Clearance
Rate: 14.24 pounds per hour via Paye, 18.50 pounds per hour via umbrella ltd.

Role Summary

The Technical Operative 1 will join the Configuration Department, supporting IT configuration and deployment activities. The role requires a hands-on approach to software installation, system building, and data management, with a strong emphasis on accuracy, communication, and adherence to process.

Key Responsibilities

Perform software installations and configurations within existing infrastructure
Build systems using predefined scripts (training provided; strict compliance required)
Operate bespoke and in-house systems (training provided)
Input and manage data using spreadsheets (25–50% of role)
Consolidate consignments for distribution
Communicate effectively with supervisors and team leads regarding progress and issues
Handle pallet movement and contribute to work planning
Meet performance targets and service level agreements
Box and unbox IT equipment as part of configuration and dispatch processes

Candidate Requirements

Strong written and verbal communication skills
Background in IT or technical operations
Proven experience in manual data entry and spreadsheet management
Ability to work flexibly and respond to changing demands
Team-oriented with a proactive approach
Familiarity with IT components and hardware
High attention to detail and accuracy
Capable of working to deadlines and performance targets
