Java Back-End Engineer, Vice President

Location: Manchester, UK (Hybrid)

Company: Leading Global Financial Services Firm

We’re seeking a Vice President, Java Back-End Engineer to join our engineering team. You’ll design, build, and enhance backend systems for critical applications, driving performance, scalability, and innovation in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain backend and front-end features for mission-critical applications.
Write efficient, testable code and optimize existing systems.
Participate in code reviews and ensure smooth system integration.
Troubleshoot, debug, and support deployment processes.
Collaborate with the team to implement best practices and continuous improvements.

Qualifications:

Strong Java development skills, including multi-threading and high-performance systems.
Familiarity with front-end technologies (React or Angular) and SQL/relational databases.
Experience working in agile teams and strong collaboration skills.
