Administrative Assistant – 12-Month Contract

Newcastle Upon Tyne (Hybrid – 1 day remote once trained)

£112 per day / circa £29,000 per annum

Are you a detail-driven, proactive administrator looking to take the next step in your career? We have an exciting opportunity to join a major financial organisation in Newcastle, supporting a high-profile strategic project that’s shaping the future of the business.

As an Administrative Assistant, you’ll play a key role in supporting day-to-day operational processes that keep the business running smoothly. You’ll be part of a collaborative, professional environment where accuracy, integrity, and teamwork are valued at every level.

What you’ll be doing:

Processing adviser charge instructions accurately and on time

Updating core systems with the correct fee information

Liaising with third-party providers to ensure smooth completion of instructions

Monitoring requests from start to finish, ensuring deadlines are met

Supporting the wider team with ad-hoc administrative and operational tasks

Contributing to a positive, supportive culture where everyone takes pride in doing things right

What we’re looking for:

Previous experience in an administrative or data processing role

A good understanding of (or keen interest in) the financial services sector

Strong IT skills and confidence working with multiple systems

Excellent attention to detail – you notice the small things that others might miss

Strong organisation and time management skills

A positive, can-do attitude with the confidence to use your initiative

Problem-solving skills and a willingness to learn
