Our Client is seeking a highly skilled Senior Android Engineer to play a key role in building advanced video playback experiences across mobile platforms. This role focuses on developing clean, reusable APIs, enhancing playback performance, and delivering features that directly elevate the end-user experience. You’ll collaborate with talented engineers across global teams and contribute to technology used by millions of viewers worldwide.

What You’ll Do:

Build clean, scalable, reusable APIs that power mobile video playback experiences
Develop modular Android components that can be leveraged across multiple applications
Design and implement end-to-end playback features including DRM, advertising, and analytics
Optimize code performance and reliability through analysis and continuous improvement
Collaborate closely with team members while mentoring junior engineers
Work on technology supporting thousands of linear channels and massive video libraries
Deliver features that significantly enhance customer experience
Partner with cross-functional engineering teams to drive innovation and technical excellence

What You’ll Bring:

Extensive experience in Android application development
Strong programming skills in Java and Kotlin
Deep knowledge of Android architecture patterns and best practices
Hands-on experience with streaming protocols such as HLS and DASH
Familiarity with ExoPlayer (a strong plus)
Background in Agile development with CI/CD environments
Exceptional analytical, debugging, and problem-solving capabilities
Ability to prioritize tasks, manage workload effectively, and work collaboratively
A passion for mentoring and supporting team success
