Overview
We are seeking a Web Designer who goes far beyond visual design. This role requires a strategic thinker who can lead projects end-to-end, partner with cross-functional stakeholders, and apply design thinking to deliver data-informed, user-centric solutions. The ideal candidate blends creativity with analytical rigor—able to articulate design decisions based on market insights, customer profiles, and business objectives.
In this role, you will conceptualize, design, test, and iterate digital experiences that align both with user needs and company goals. You will translate complex ideas into simple, elegant designs while managing multiple projects, collaborating across teams, and elevating our design standards.
This is a hybrid position based in Toronto, requiring 2–3 days per week in the office.
Core Technical Skills
Required
5+ years of experience in visual design, UI/UX design, prototyping, or related fields
Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, HCI, or a related discipline (Master’s preferred)
Expertise in design tools such as Figma and Adobe Creative Suite
Strong grasp of design principles, typography, layout, color theory, and composition
Ability to deliver wireframes, prototypes, detailed specs, and ideal-state workflows
Experience applying design thinking, customer research, and data-driven insights
Demonstrated ability to lead projects from discovery to delivery
Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
Experience translating complex visions into intuitive, elegant user experiences
Preferred
Knowledge of interactive media, motion, or video production
Experience working in a highly collaborative design ecosystem
Ability to evolve or extend visual design systems and component libraries
Comfort using AI tools to concept, iterate, or test design directions
Nice to Have
Experience presenting design rationale backed by customer data, market insights, or business logic
Prior experience working in large, global, or cross-functional teams
Portfolio demonstrating strong craft, problem-solving, and collaborative process
