About the Role
The Global Demand Planner role plays a key part in driving sales performance and inventory optimization across all business channels, touching multiple areas — from supply chain planning and inventory management to technology, merchandising, marketing, finance, sales, and eCommerce. The successful candidate will develop and utilize analytical reporting to guide forecasting, purchasing, and inventory flow decisions for a premium international retail brand. The role will report to the Global Procurement Manager (US) & Director of International Supply Chain, and will follow a hybrid work setup: 4 days onsite, 1 day remote.
Responsibilities
Develop and forecast SKU-level demand for all global channels, ensuring purchase orders align with open-to-buy plans.
Reconcile bottom-up demand projections with top-down category forecasts.
Build long-range forecasts to inform capacity planning and safety stock levels.
Partner with the supply planning team to ensure timeliness and accuracy of inbound receipts.
Collaborate with leadership and technology teams to automate replenishment algorithms and enhance planning tools.
Manage safety stock targets by SKU and communicate adjustments to production for factory execution.
Analyze months-of-supply targets and present findings to planning and operations teams.
Coordinate with sales and marketing to maintain optimal inventory levels and manage overweight items.
Support pricing optimization to maximize sales and margin.
Collaborate with global teams on forecast and buying processes.
Partner with operations to support space management, embroidery projections, and build-out forecasts.
Engage with distribution partners to ensure on-time ordering and global MOQ optimization.
Maintain size scale accuracy across product categories.
Build and sustain partnerships with eCommerce, sales, distribution, logistics, merchandising, finance, operations, customer service, and digital marketing.
Perform ad hoc reporting and analysis as required.
Qualifications
BA/BS in Business, Finance, Data Science, Supply Chain, or related field.
Proven experience in retail buying, demand planning, or supply chain management.
Apparel knowledge and experience within premium or luxury retail are strongly preferred.
Required Skills
Expert-level proficiency in Microsoft Excel; advanced skills in all Microsoft Office tools.
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities.
Experience working with data cubes and dashboard reporting.
Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to balance financial objectives with broader business goals.
Skilled in cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder management.
Understanding of data modeling, statistics, and forecasting systems.
Comfortable working in a hybrid, global team environment.
