Job Description
**Job Title:** Global Demand Planner **Role Summary:** Generate and manage SKU‑level demand forecasts for a premium retail brand across all global channels, aligning purchasing, inventory, and capacity decisions with open‑to‑buy plans. Drive data‑driven replenishment, safety stock management, and cross‑functional collaboration to optimize sales performance and inventory efficiency. **Expactations:** • Deliver accurate, actionable demand insights to procurement, operations, and finance. • Maintain alignment between forecast, inventory, and production schedules. • Partner with technology teams to automate planning tools and refine replenishment algorithms. • Communicate safety stock and inventory adjustments to production and factory teams. • Provide analytical support for pricing, margin, and stock‑level decisions. **Key Responsibilities:** - Forecast SKU‑level demand and reconcile bottom‑up projections with top‑down category forecasts. - Develop long‑range forecasts to support capacity planning and safety stock targets. - Coordinate with supply planning to ensure accurate inbound receipt timing and forecasting accuracy. - Automate replenishment algorithms and enhance planning dashboards with IT and analytics teams. - Manage safety stock levels by SKU and communicate adjustments to factories. - Analyze months‑of‑supply metrics and report findings to planning and operations. - Work with sales, marketing, and e‑commerce to balance inventory levels and address overweight items. - Support pricing optimization initiatives to maximize sales and margins. - Collaborate with global teams on forecast and buying processes, ensuring consistency across markets. - Provide space, embroidery, and build‑out forecasts to operations and distribution partners. - Engage distribution partners to meet on‑time ordering and global MOQ requirements. - Maintain accurate size scale across product categories. - Build and sustain partnerships across e‑commerce, sales, distribution, logistics, merchandising, finance, operations, customer service, and digital marketing. - Produce ad‑hoc reporting and analysis as required. **Required Skills:** - Expert proficiency in Microsoft Excel (advanced formulas, pivot tables, VBA). - Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office suite. - Experience with data cubes, dashboards, and reporting tools. - Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem‑solving abilities. - Understanding of data modeling, statistical forecasting, and inventory optimization techniques. - Ability to balance financial objectives with broader business goals. - Excellent cross‑functional collaboration and stakeholder‑management skills. - Highly organized, detail‑oriented, capable of managing multiple priorities. - Comfortable working in a hybrid, global team environment. **Required Education & Certifications:** - BA/BS in Business, Finance, Data Science, Supply Chain, or related field. - Proven experience in retail buying, demand planning, or supply chain management (apparel experience, especially in premium or luxury retail, strongly preferred).
