Job Description

The Finance Analyst will play a critical role in guiding the company's financial planning and strategic decision-making. You will be responsible for providing accurate, insightful, and timely analysis of financial data, supporting budgeting and forecasting processes, and preparing reports for management. This role requires strong analytical skills, a detail-oriented mindset, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

You'll Be Accountable For

Performance Reporting: Produce high-quality, data-driven financial reports and dashboards that clearly communicate business performance and variance analysis to stakeholders.
Month End Reporting: Timely and accurate reporting of actuals, to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement. Including completion of P&L, balance sheet and commentary information.
Commercial Insight: Provide proactive and insightful financial analysis to identify trends, recommend actions for improvement, and support decisions that increase efficiency and profitability.
Budgeting and Forecasting: Support the delivery of accurate and timely budgets and forecasts that align with strategy and provide a reliable financial roadmap for the business.
Compliance: Ensure compliance with financial policies, procedures, and internal controls. Ensures the risk of the business are identified, assessed and mitigated actions are in place to reduce the risk.

Key Responsibilities

Assist with the annual budgeting cycle, working with wider business departments to gather data, build financial plans, and present findings.
Develop and maintain financial models for revenue and expenditure forecasting, and scenario evaluations.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including variance analysis and commentary on performance against budget and forecast.
Conduct comprehensive analysis of financial reports, OKR’S / KPI’s, and trends to inform business decisions.
Process improvements and efficiencies by simplifying and automating tasks.
Identify opportunities for cost reduction, process enhancement, and revenue growth through data-led insights.
Support senior finance team members with ad-hoc projects, business case development, and special analyses.
Liaise with the wider finance team to ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial reporting.

Qualifications

Experience working in a regulated environment, ideally within financial services or digital product-led support roles
Strong interest in pursuing a career in finance; this role will provide fully funded professional qualifications (CIMA or ACCA)
Demonstrated ability to lead or contribute to digital customer journey design, including support journeys and digital communication strategies
Strong stakeholder management skills across digital, operational, and commercial teams
A customer-centric mindset with a passion for optimising user experience through insight and iterative improvements
Familiarity with accessibility standards and inclusive design principles
Analytical and pragmatic with a structured approach to problem-solving
Excellent communication, writing and collaboration skills
Strong Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) skills
Self-starter, proactive, and thrives in a fast-paced, agile environment
Commitment to continuous self-learning and development
