Overview

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Financial Analyst to support financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and data-driven decision-making. This role is ideal for someone early in their finance career who enjoys analyzing numbers, solving problems, and working closely with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Reporting & Analysis

Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports

Analyze income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow trends

Track key financial KPIs and highlight variances or risks

Support cost analysis, margin analysis, and profitability reviews

Budgeting & Forecasting

Help develop budgets and rolling forecasts

Support scenario modeling and strategic financial planning

Maintain financial models used for forecasting and business planning

Contribute to long-term financial outlook and variance explanations

Data Management & Research

Collect and validate financial data from internal systems and external sources

Maintain spreadsheets, databases, and reporting dashboards

Research industry trends, market performance, and competitive benchmarks

Ensure data accuracy and consistency across all finance deliverables

Cross-Functional Support

Work with operations, sales, HR, and leadership teams on financial insights

Support audit processes, compliance reviews, or internal controls

Assist with procurement reviews, vendor cost analysis, or departmental spend tracking

Provide ad hoc analysis to support decision-making and strategic initiatives

Qualifications

Education & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or related field

0–2 years of financial analysis, accounting, or FP&A experience (internships count)

Technical Skills

Strong Excel/Google Sheets skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, financial formulas)

Basic understanding of accounting principles (GAAP/IFRS)

Familiarity with financial modeling and forecasting

Experience with BI tools or ERP systems is an asset

Preferred Assets

(Not required but beneficial)

Experience with SQL or data querying

Exposure to budgeting and variance analysis

Understanding of valuation, cash flow modeling, or investment concepts

Interest in pursuing CPA, CFA, or FMVA certifications

Personal Attributes

Analytical, logical thinker with strong attention to detail

Excellent communication and presentation skills

Organized, reliable, and able to handle multiple deadlines

Curious and eager to grow in corporate finance or FP&A
