About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Red Hat Subject Matter Expert with Enhanced Developed Vetting (DV) clearance to join our team on a 6‑month contract. This role is critical to supporting secure infrastructure projects within a highly sensitive environment. The successful candidate will provide expert guidance on Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) systems, ensuring compliance, resilience, and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

Act as the technical authority for Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) platforms.
Design, configure, and maintain secure Red Hat environments in line with organizational and government standards.
Provide advanced troubleshooting and performance optimization for mission-critical systems.
Collaborate with security, infrastructure, and application teams to ensure seamless integration and compliance.
Deliver documentation, best practices, and knowledge transfer to internal teams.
Support patching, upgrades, and lifecycle management of Red Hat systems.
Ensure adherence to strict security protocols and operational procedures in a DV-cleared environment.

Required Skills & Experience

Enhanced DV clearance
Proven expertise in Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) administration and engineering.
Strong knowledge of system hardening, security compliance, and patch management.
Experience with automation tools (e.g., Ansible, Puppet, Chef) and scripting (e.g., Bash, Python).
Familiarity with virtualization, containerization (OpenShift, Docker, Kubernetes), and cloud integration.
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to operate in high-security environments.
Strong communication and documentation skills.
