Job Specifications

Overview
SR2 are seeking two Senior Data Scientists with strong experience in entity resolution to join a high-profile delivery team within the financial services and regulatory space. You'll design and implement scalable matching solutions across complex datasets, combining probabilistic and deterministic techniques where ground truth is incomplete or unavailable.

Key Responsibilities
• Build and enhance entity resolution models using Splink
• Apply statistical and machine learning methods to improve match confidence and reduce false positives/negatives
• Design scalable architectures for linking records across large, diverse data sources
• Work closely with engineering teams to productionise solutions into operational environments
• Validate models and document methodologies for auditability and ongoing optimisation
• Contribute to delivery plans, stakeholder updates, and best-practice guidance within the project

Required Experience & Skills
• 5-7+ years' experience in data science or a closely related field
• Strong knowledge of financial services and/or regulatory data challenges
• Deep expertise in entity resolution (probabilistic and deterministic approaches)
• Hands-on experience using Splink for record linkage
• Strong Python and SQL programming skills
• Comfortable solving problems with incomplete, ambiguous, or noisy data
• Strong analytical thinking and ability to communicate complex concepts clearly

Desirable Experience
• Knowledge of graph-based technologies (Neptune, Neo4j, OpenCypher, etc.)
• Experience delivering within Agile teams
• Exposure to cloud deployments and DevSecOps principles
