About the Role

My client, a global leader in sports and entertainment, is hiring a Flink-focused Streaming Infrastructure Engineer. This role sits at the core of their real time data ecosystem, ensuring that high volume basketball analytics pipelines run efficiently, reliably, and at scale. You will work alongside data scientists as they deploy models, but your primary focus will be deep Flink optimization and streaming system performance.

Key Responsibilities

Optimize and tune Flink jobs for speed, memory usage, throughput, and overall system stability
Build and maintain redundancy, monitoring, alerting, retries, and operational checks across the streaming platform
Partner with data scientists to help productionize and support model deployment within Flink
Identify and resolve bottlenecks, technical debt, and operational issues in real time pipelines
Work with Kafka and Kubernetes to manage scalable, fault tolerant streaming environments

Required Skills and Experience

3 or more years working directly with Apache Flink or similar large scale streaming infrastructure
Strong hands on experience with Kafka, Kubernetes, and distributed data pipelines
Track record of optimizing, debugging, and stabilizing high performance streaming systems
Solid understanding of data architecture, distributed systems, and infrastructure best practices

Preferred

Exposure to machine learning workflows or model deployment
Experience in sports analytics or other data heavy, real time environments
