Overview
We are seeking experienced Electrical/Mechanical Facility Support Engineers for contract positions at critical datacenter facilities in Quebec City, QC. You will be responsible for the operational integrity and maintenance of advanced electrical infrastructure. This full-time, onsite role requires working rotating 12-hour night shifts and a strong commitment to safety protocols.
Key Responsibilities
Perform daily monitoring, preventive maintenance, and repairs on critical electrical systems, including UPS, generators, switchgear, and PDUs.
Respond to facility incidents, troubleshoot complex electrical faults, and follow all emergency operating procedures.
Oversee and escort third-party electrical contractors, ensuring compliance with safety and operational standards.
Use a CMMS to track electrical asset maintenance and manage work orders. (Electrical)
Conduct daily monitoring, preventive maintenance, and repairs on critical mechanical systems, such as HVAC, industrial chillers, CRAH units, pumps, and fire safety systems.
Respond to facility incidents, troubleshoot mechanical failures, and implement corrective actions according to emergency procedures.
Supervise and escort third-party mechanical contractors, verifying that all work meets safety and quality standards.
Utilize a CMMS to document maintenance activities and manage work orders for all mechanical assets. (Mechanical)
Core Qualifications
Experience: 3–5+ years of hands-on experience with industrial electrical systems in a critical environment (e.g., datacenter, manufacturing, hospital).
Certifications: A valid OSHA or OSHA-approved NFPA 70E certification is mandatory.
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
Clearance: Must be eligible to obtain Canadian Government Reliability Status (requires 5+ years of continuous Canadian residency).
Schedule: Ability to work rotating 12-hour night shifts, including weekends and holidays.
