This is a 12 months fixed term contract

Our Finance Transformation team

We are looking for an analyst to join Monzo’s Finance function to be responsible for supporting delivery of and maintaining systems for our core accounting, regulatory reporting, treasury and financial planning & analysis teams.

You’ll be supporting vendor selection, configuration, maintenance and administration of third party systems to ensure Monzo’s Finance function maximises the value we get out of our financial software.

Responsibilities

We currently utilise the following systems across our Finance function. You will be responsible for ensuring these systems are operating effectively and will also help set out the future of these and any new systems:

SAP S4/HANA Public Cloud - Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems
Anaplan - Financial Planning and Forecasting System
MORS Software - Treasury Management System and Asset & Liability Management
Vermeg & Axiom - Regulatory Reporting systems
Expensify - Expense management
Workiva
Citibank, JPM & BoE - Treasury approval systems for payments
Bloomberg Exchange Rate Management

You’ll play a key role by…

Maintaining our third party systems (typically Software as a Service), including user access, configuration changes, managing upgrades and being the first point of contact for any vendor related issues
Supporting the selection of any new systems / vendors across the finance function, working closely with the finance and programme management teams to help ensure we select the right vendors
Monitoring performance KPIs, troubleshooting and resolving any problems with existing software, including updates, configuration changes and upgrades
Working closely with our engineering colleagues to ensure top-notch data quality and help monitor data flows between systems
Maintaining internal controls already in place for the various systems and provide this in a timely manner each time they’re required. You would also need to analyse current control processes and provide recommendations of approvement to promote continued improvement cycles

We’d love to hear from you if you have…

In-depth knowledge of at least one accounting / ERP system and operating principles. Ideally experience of implementing and supporting SAP
Experience working within banking/ finance and supporting financial business processes
Experience working closely with software vendors, software engineers and data teams
Experience working closely with embedded data analysts / scientists
Proficient with SQL and data visualisation tooling (such as Looker, Tableau, etc.)
Experience designing and implementing technical infrastructure for systems support and monitoring
Extremely good time management and stakeholder management skills

And some nice to haves…

A bachelor's or vocational degree in information systems, computing, software engineering, or a related field
Used to agile ways of working (Kanban, Scrum) tracked in JIRA or Trello
