Senior Identity & Access Management (IAM) Engineer

Role Summary

A client of The Intersect Group is seeking a Senior IAM Engineer to design and implement enterprise-level identity and access management solutions that strengthen security and streamline operations. This role plays a pivotal part in advancing the organization’s cyber risk strategy by engineering robust integrations across cloud and on-prem systems.

You will lead the implementation of SailPoint IdentityNow and related IAM technologies, integrating with platforms such as ServiceNow, Workday, and Azure AD. This position requires a strong development background and hands-on expertise in SailPoint engineering to deliver scalable, secure, and compliant solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Design and implement SailPoint IdentityNow or IIQ solutions to meet enterprise IAM requirements.
Develop and configure SailPoint modules, including lifecycle management, compliance, and audit features.
Integrate SailPoint with core systems such as Workday, Azure AD, and ServiceNow.
Design and implement CyberArk solutions, including EPV, PSM, and PTA.
Develop, test, and troubleshoot custom connectors and workflows within SailPoint.
Collaborate with application teams to aggregate and correlate user accounts to identity cubes.
Conduct audits and ensure compliance with security policies and regulatory standards.
Mentor junior team members and provide guidance on IAM best practices.

Key Requirements

7+ years of experience in Identity & Access Management engineering and deployment.
Proven expertise in SailPoint IdentityNow implementation and integration with enterprise systems.
Strong development background in Java and object-oriented programming.
Hands-on experience with CyberArk, Azure AD, ServiceNow, and REST API development.
Deep understanding of IAM protocols and standards: SAML, OAuth, SCIM, WS-Fed, OpenID Connect.
Familiarity with relational databases (Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL) and web services.
Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively across teams.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field preferred.
