About the Role
We are supporting a leading organization in the Manufacturing & Industrial Technology sector in hiring an experienced IT Infrastructure Program Manager to drive critical infrastructure programs across factory build-outs, data center expansions, and enterprise environments.
This role is ideal for a senior technical program leader with strong experience in construction-based IT implementations, network/server refreshes, and cloud infrastructure—especially within manufacturing, industrial, or large-scale production environments.
Key Responsibilities
Lead planning, execution, and delivery of major IT infrastructure programs supporting factory construction, industrial technology deployments, and enterprise needs.
Partner with General Contractors, Facility Teams, and Engineering groups to manage construction-related IT implementations.
Interpret and validate structured cabling standards, Division 27 documentation, AV standards, and telecom/construction drawings for office and industrial environments.
Oversee enterprise deployments including Data Centers, Server/Backup Systems, NAS, DR, AD migrations, OS upgrades, and server patching within controlled manufacturing environments.
Drive network refresh programs across multi-site LAN/WLAN, DNS, DHCP, and plant-floor connectivity.
Communicate project strategy and technical decisions effectively across manufacturing teams, SMEs, network engineers, SRE/DevOps, facilities designers, and executive leadership.
Develop charters, budgets, timelines, milestones, and success metrics for multiple concurrent programs.
Ensure production schedules and deployment windows remain aligned with IT deliverables.
Lead cross-functional planning, design reviews, and risk mitigation sessions.
Build and maintain robust program risk management strategies ensuring zero impact to business continuity.
Execute all work using disciplined project/program management best practices.
Qualifications (Must-Have)
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related field (or equivalent practical experience).
8+ years managing complex, cross-functional IT infrastructure programs, ideally in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
Strong experience working with General Contractors and Facilities on IT construction projects (factory builds, industrial sites, data center expansions).
Deep knowledge of structured cabling, Division 27 standards, AV/telecom drawings (office + industrial).
Proven leadership delivering large-scale network infrastructure initiatives: multi-site connectivity, LAN/WLAN, DNS/DHCP.
Strong background in server, data, backup, NAS, DR, and controlled-environment infrastructure.
Hands-on knowledge of cloud computing, migrations, and deployments (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
Proficiency with program tools such as Smartsheet, Jira, Google Workspace, and similar platforms.
Strong critical-thinking, risk management, and problem-solving ability.
Preferred Experience (Nice-to-Have)
Background supporting OT (Operational Technology) integrations between plant floor systems and enterprise IT.
Experience coordinating across ME Engineers, Network Engineers, SRE/DevOps Teams, Facilities Designers, and LV A/E firms.
Experience in managing large construction-driven IT programs for manufacturing plants.
