Job Title: Senior Planner

Position Overview
The Senior Planner will lead end-to-end business planning across sales forecasting, inventory management, product lifecycle planning, and S&OP processes. This role requires strong analytical capabilities, a deep understanding of production and operations, and the ability to drive cross-functional alignment. The Senior Planner will own forecasting across all channels and categories, ensuring the organization has accurate, actionable plans that support growth and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Forecasting & Demand Planning
Own all sales forecasting for full-price, off-price, and close-out channels.
Build and maintain channel-, retailer-, category-, and SKU-level forecasts.
Incorporate retailer feedback, market trends, promotional strategies, and inventory constraints into demand planning.
Lead the S&OP cadence, ensuring alignment between sales, operations, production, and finance.
Budgeting & Financial Planning
Own long-range planning (LRP) with rolling 12-month sales and margin projections.
Support Finance with budget cycles, forecast updates, and SKU-level margin/profitability insights.
Inventory Planning & Management
Lead planning for all purchase orders, inventory availability, replenishment forecasting, and off-price inventory flows.
Maintain real-time visibility into all production orders by partnering closely with the Production team.
Track status of all sales orders in partnership with the Domestic Operations team.
Own open-to-buy (OTB) calculations and collaborate with Finance on prioritizing SKUs during cash constraints.
Build and manage buy plans for both replenishment and off-price channels to ensure optimal inventory health.
Product Lifecycle Management
Plan for product launches, seasonal drops, discontinuations, and end-of-life strategies.
Manage promotional and markdown calendars.
Analyze performance of promotional programs and deliver post-mortems to guide future strategies.
Reporting & Business Insights
Provide month-end reporting on performance, out-of-stock issues, missed sales, retailer headwinds/tailwinds, and inventory risks.
Deliver data-driven recommendations to improve forecast accuracy, margin, and working capital efficiency.
Cross-Functional Partnership
Partner with Finance, Operations, Production, Sales, and Marketing to align demand, supply, and financial objectives.
Represent Planning in S&OP and cross-functional meetings, presenting actionable insights and scenario analyses.
Qualifications
5–8+ years of planning, demand planning, or supply chain experience within consumer goods (preferably across multiple categories).
Deep understanding of production timelines, manufacturing processes, and operational workflows.
Strong analytical and forecasting skills with advanced Excel and planning system proficiency.
Able to manage complexity across diverse product categories and retail channels.
Strong communication and collaboration skills; comfortable influencing stakeholders at all levels.
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and effective in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Salary $100,000-$130,000
