Akkodis is seeking a Senior Infrastructure Architect for a Contract job with a client in Charlotte, NC(Hybrid). Ideally looking for applicants with a solid background in the financial services industry.
Rate Range: $70-76/Hr; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
Description: We are seeking a highly experienced Infrastructure Architect to design and implement secure, scalable, and highly available infrastructure solutions across on-premises, cloud, and hybrid environments. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in network and platform architecture, cloud migration strategies, and enterprise-level solution design, with a proven ability to lead cross-functional teams in Agile environments.
Key Responsibilities:
Architecture & Design
Develop and publish infrastructure architecture patterns, standards, and blueprints for on-premises, cloud (AWS), and colocation environments.
Design end-to-end infrastructure solutions ensuring security, scalability, and high availability.
Cloud & Hybrid Solutions
Plan and execute migration strategies for legacy applications to cloud platforms.
Integrate on-premises systems with cloud services for hybrid deployments.
Technical Leadership
Lead cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver infrastructure solutions.
Collaborate with enterprise architects, product owners, and engineering teams in SAFe Agile environments.
Documentation & Governance
Create technical design artifacts including High-Level Design (HLD), Detailed Design (LLD), and build sheets.
Ensure compliance with security, governance, and best practices.
Performance & Capacity Planning
Conduct capacity and performance testing using tools like Dynatrace, JMeter, and SolarWinds.
Optimize infrastructure for disaster recovery and business continuity.
Integration & Security
Implement secure API gateways, load balancing (F5 BigIP), and identity/access management (Okta).
Configure firewalls, SAN storage, and network fabric for secure connectivity.
Stakeholder Engagement
Act as liaison between IT design teams, business units, and external vendors.
Provide consulting on transformation roadmaps and proof-of-concept initiatives.
Required Qualifications:
10+ years of experience in infrastructure architecture and design.
Strong knowledge of VMWare, AWS, SAN/NAS storage, network security, and API gateways.
Experience with SAFe Agile, DevSecOps, and CI/CD practices.
Proficiency in creating architecture documentation using tools like Visio, LucidChart, Confluence, and Jira.
Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
