Job Summary

*PART-TIME, 10-15 hours/week*

Craft Education (acquired by WGU September 2024) is seeking an intern to join our growing engineering team for a part-time internship opportunity. Interns will be exposed to a variety of technical projects revolving around Craft's scaling SaaS Platform.

Responsibilities

Assist in maintaining and updating departmental databases, spreadsheets, and content management systems
Assist in developing and testing software applications using Java and Angular frameworks.
Contribute to building and deploying applications on AWS cloud services
Support the implementation and troubleshooting of office technology, software applications, and digital tools
Help create and update technical documentation, user guides, and standard operating procedures
Perform data entry, validation, cleanup, and basic reporting using Excel, Google Sheets, or database tools
Aid in system testing, form development, and workflow automation projects using platforms like Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, or institution-specific tools
Provide first-level technical support to staff and faculty, including software setup, printer troubleshooting, and login/access issues
Contribute to process improvement initiatives through research, analysis, and documentation
Collaborate with IT staff or business analysts on technology-driven projects or service requests
Present a final project or summary of learning to the team at the end of the internship.

Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities

Basic understanding of databases, spreadsheets, and office productivity tools (e.g., Excel formulas, Google Forms, SharePoint)
Familiarity with help desk, ticketing systems, or cloud-based tools is a plus
Strong analytical, technical troubleshooting, and organizational skills
Comfortable learning and using new systems and applications
Ability to be comfortable with ambiguity and asking for help when needed
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to maintain confidentiality and follow data security protocols
Self-motivated with strong attention to detail

Experience

Currently enrolled in or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Good foundation in Java programming and understanding of object-oriented principles.
Exposure to front-end development with Angular (or similar JavaScript frameworks).
Basic knowledge of AWS cloud services and cloud-native concepts.
Must be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship during the internship period.
Must be in good academic standing with an expected graduation date.

Position & Application Details
