MES Programme Manager - Outside IR35 - 12-Month Contract
We are looking for an MES Programme Manager for a 12-month initial contract (with extensions) on a major transformation initiative to support a customer through significant manufacturing and digital change.
The role will be focused on Manufacturing Execution Systems, SAP ME decommissioning, and shaping the future manufacturing application landscape.
Key requirements:
Shape, define, and lead the overall programme strategy, scope, and roadmap for the Manufacturing Integration Simplification initiative.
Manage the controlled decommissioning of the existing SAP MES (SAP ME) solution.
Analyse and unravel SAP ME dependencies across the current manufacturing ecosystem to ensure business continuity.
Lead process redesign efforts to support future manufacturing operations and integration requirements.
Work closely with cross-functional IT and manufacturing teams to ensure alignment, clarity, and confidence throughout the transformation.
Act as the programme authority on MES integration, technical risk management, and long-term application strategy.
Build strong, trust-based relationships with both IT leadership and manufacturing stakeholders, ensuring transparent communication and steady delivery.
Background:
Proven track record as a Programme Manager delivering large-scale MES or manufacturing IT transformation initiatives.
Strong background in manufacturing operations, having ideally progressed from operations into IT leadership or transformation roles.
Deep understanding of SAP ME (SAP Manufacturing Execution), including integration points, architecture, and typical customisations.
Experience in decommissioning, replacing, or transitioning MES or major operational platforms within complex manufacturing environments.
