APES Lab is a nonprofit research organization using multi-agent simulation to model complex economic and policy systems. We help policymakers, researchers, and institutions understand potential futures before they unfold.

Role Description

This is a 3 month remote internship role for a Software Engineer Intern at APES Lab. The intern will assist in developing software applications, contribute to back-end web development, and collaborate with the team on programming projects. Day-to-day tasks may include coding, debugging, performing tests, and applying object-oriented programming principles to optimize system functionalities.

Qualifications

Background in Computer Science, with knowledge of software development processes
Experience in Back-End Web Development and Software Development
Proficiency in Programming, particularly in Object-Oriented Programming (OOP)
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to work effectively in a remote team environment
Experience with version control systems like Git is a plus
Enthusiasm for learning and applying new technologies

Compensation

$5,000 stipend to be paid at the end of the 3 month internship
