Our client is an established food manufacturer, part of a larger global group, with multiple sites worldwide. Due to growth and CI Projects at the site, they are looking for a new maintenance engineer to join their production and packaging team.
Role And Responsibilities
Carry out planned, reactive maintenance and safety checks on all high:speed food production lines, packaging machinery, conveyors, metal detectors, labellers, baggers, checkweighers, PLCs, control panels, robotics, depositors
Electrical and mechanical fault finding, repairs, stripdowns and overhauls
Working on motors, gearboxes, VSDs, inverters, sensors, pneumatics, hydraulics, drives, bearings
Improving plant availability, reliability and continuous improvement work
Monitor contractors on site, ordering spares and parts
Knowledge, Skills And Experience
Multi:Skilled Maintenance Engineer
Ideally have completed a recognised apprenticeship
HNC / HND qualified in Engineering
Electrical and mechanical fault finding and problem solving skills
Previously have dealt with industrial processing and equipment and manufacturing systems
Must have worked in a similar food manufacturing or FMCG environment
Knowledge of electrical safety isolation procedures would be beneficial
Must have worked on motors, sensors, inverters, gearboxes, VSDs, pneumatics, drives
Experience of using SAP would be beneficial
Advantageous if worked with PLC systems
Any experience of working in an ATEX / CompEX environment would be great
