Quantitative Risk Analyst (Contract – Inside IR35)

Location: London

Day Rate: Between £250–£300 per day (Inside IR35, Umbrella)

We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Quantitative Risk Analyst to join a leading financial services organisation on a contract basis. The role focuses on supporting risk-related research, margin model development, and data-driven analysis within a collaborative quantitative team.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct empirical studies to support recommendations on margin levels, model design, and broader risk-mitigation measures.
Develop strategies and frameworks for back-testing to validate margin coverage and assess model assumptions.
Build and execute quality-assurance test cases to verify the accuracy of margin methodology code.
Develop tools and processes to clean, transform, and synchronise large datasets.

Requirements:

Master’s degree in Finance, Mathematics, Economics, Statistics, or a closely related field.
Strong understanding of derivative pricing and statistical analysis of risk factors (e.g., volatility, correlations, return distributions).
Academic grounding in probability theory and stochastic processes.
Proficiency in programming languages including C++, Python, R, and SQL.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
