Candidate Requirement: Senior Azure Cloud Architect with 5+ years experience across core cloud architecture, Azure services, and security.

Scope of Project
The Azure Cloud Architect will advise the agency on cloud architecture, technical strategy, refactoring modernization, and cloud-native adoption.
The role includes identifying optimal lift-and-shift or refactor paths, driving technical deployments, establishing security practices, and configuring Azure services.
Architect will also develop minimal viable architectural prototypes and collaborate with COV/MSI stakeholders. The position requires NDA signing.
Responsibilities:
Advise agency on Azure architecture and security considerations for migrations and refactoring.
Recommend lift-and-shift and on-prem to cloud-native transformation strategies.
Identify and recommend refactoring approaches within the Azure ecosystem.
Conduct Azure testing and PoC/MVP validation of proposed architectures.
Understand operational offerings from COV, MSI, and connected partners.
Configure Azure services to meet agency-level technical objectives.
Produce professional technical documentation and architecture materials.
Follow cloud security best practices and maintain posture requirements.
Required/Preferred Skills:
Required — 5+ Years Each:
Cloud fundamentals and cloud solution design (end-to-end architecture)
Azure network & storage architecture
Azure Services (Key Vault, Entra ID, etc.)
Azure Functions, App Services, Containers, microservices, serverless
Architecting Availability — RPO/RTO in Azure
Cloud Security:
Zero Trust
Network segmentation
Conditional Access
Just-in-time permissions
Security posture management including:
Vulnerability remediation
Perimeter defense
Encryption in transit/at rest
DevOps:
Azure DevOps
GitHub Enterprise Cloud
Data Storage:
SQL Server
Oracle
Cosmos DB (Non-relational)
Prior On-Prem Architect experience (5+ years)
Strong communication skills
Effective technical documentation writing
Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect Certification (Required — Upload required)
