We are seeking a proactive Product Owner to drive the development and implementation of products or services through their full life cycle from inception, growth, maturity, decline to retirement. You will own and manage the Product Backlog, define Product Goals, and ensure user stories are prioritised to align with the product roadmap and business strategy. Acting as the voice of the user, you will gather insights from market research, user feedback, and usage data to inform product decisions and drive impactful outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
Own and prioritise the Product Backlog, defining clear Product Goals and ensuring backlog visibility and understanding.
Break down features into actionable user stories and defects, focusing on highest-value work.
Provide a prioritised backlog for each sprint and actively participate in agile ceremonies.
Collaborate with stakeholders and Business Analysts to refine scope, MVP, story requirements, and acceptance criteria.
Align product work with broader business and platform strategy.
Act as the voice of the user, translating needs into actionable requirements for the development team.
Co-lead sprint planning sessions, define sprint goals, and maintain team sprint boards.
Identify and help remove impediments to ensure successful delivery of sprint and release goals.
Continuously drive process improvements to enhance product quality and team velocity.
Lead stakeholder demos to communicate progress and showcase delivered work.
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Product Owner in an agile environment.
Strong understanding of Scrum principles and agile ceremonies.
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
Experience gathering and translating user feedback into actionable product requirements.
Ability to prioritise work effectively and balance multiple competing priorities.
Familiarity with backlog management tools (eg, Jira, Azure DevOps).
