Data Analyst | Excel | SQL | Power BI | Reporting | 3 days per week hybrid into Bristol | £35,000-£45,000 + Benefits

Method Resourcing have partnered with a leading company in the renewable sector looking for a Data Analyst who’s excited by the idea of owning and evolving a core internal system that the whole business relies on.

You'll be bringing their data and reporting teams together for the first time, with demand for insights across the business increasing rapidly. You’d be working closely with the wider team, supporting all parts of the business as they move from heavier Excel-based reporting into more structured BI. The day-to-day includes Excel reporting, SQL for pulling and validating data, and Power BI as they roll it out further..

What You’ll Be Doing:

Design, update, and enhance reporting dashboards in Excel and Power BI to deliver key business insights and performance indicators.
Oversee and maintain core data sets, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and timely resolution of data issues.
Coordinate reporting cycles, ensuring deadlines are met and stakeholders across teams.
Translate complex data outputs into clear, actionable insights that support strategic decision-making.
Serve as the go-to contact for reporting queries, troubleshooting issues quickly and effectively.
Partner with data engineering teams to integrate reporting seamlessly into broader data pipelines.

What We’re Looking For:

Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including complex formulas, pivot tables, Power Query, and best practices for structured analysis.
Strong proficiency in Power BI, with experience building and maintaining dashboards and semantic models.
Hands-on experience with SQL for querying and managing large-scale datasets.
High attention to detail with a proactive approach to spotting and resolving issues.
Analytical mindset with curiosity to explore what data trends reveal.
Innovative thinker with a drive to improve processes and introduce efficiencies.
Excellent communication and presentation skills, able to explain technical insights to non-technical audiences.
Collaborative team player with the ability to work across departments and drive joint initiatives.
