About The Role

We are currently seeking a Retail Data Analyst to join our growing team. In this role, you will leverage data to drive insights, assist in strategy formulation, and optimize performance across our retail channels. You will play a pivotal role in analysing sales data, identifying trends, and providing actionable recommendations to improve sales performance.

Key Responsibilities

Analyse retail sales data and generate reports that provide insights on performance across categories and channels
Monitor KPIs and conduct variance analysis against forecasts and previous periods
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide data-driven support for merchandising and promotional strategies
Identify and track relevant industry trends to inform future product development and marketing initiatives
Assist in the creation of presentations for internal and external stakeholders, showcasing findings and recommendations
Develop and maintain dashboards for real-time tracking of business performance

Requirements

Proven experience as a data analyst or similar role within a retail or consumer goods environment
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets and translate them into actionable insights
Proficiency in data visualisation tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) is a bonus.
Advanced Excel skills
Experience using analytical databases (SQL desired) for data manipulation and reporting purposes
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey complex data findings to non-technical stakeholders
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
