Senior Full Stack Engineer (SVP)

Manchester — Hybrid/Remote

Description

BNY is hiring a Senior Full Stack Engineer (SVP) to join the Enterprise Stress Testing & Modelling Analytics team. This group builds and operates the firm’s financial analytics platform used for regulatory stress testing and internal risk modelling.

You’ll work across large-scale data systems, distributed compute frameworks, and model execution pipelines that support CCAR, CECL, ICAAP/ICARA, UK Bank Stress Testing and the Treasury & CIO Analytics Platform.

What you’ll do

Build and implement stress testing and credit loss models using Python/R
Develop scalable pipelines to forecast balance sheet, revenue, expenses, macro factors and risk metrics
Coordinate model development, testing, documentation and deployment across multiple teams
Analyse model outputs, identify drivers of capital and loss movements, and ensure performance/accuracy
Apply statistical techniques and machine learning on large financial datasets
Build visual reporting and analysis tools (Python/JupyterHub)
Support expansion into broader analytics platforms and higher-performance compute environments

What you’ll need

MSc/MBA/PhD in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, Data Science or similar
Strong programming skills in Python or R (plus SQL and Pandas)
Experience building financial, risk or statistical models
Understanding of regression, time series, model validation and ML techniques
Ability to work across technical and non-technical teams and communicate clearly
Experience building production-grade data pipelines or model execution workflows
