Junior Solutions Architect (Recipe Management / RMS Focus)
Contract Duration: 12 months
Location: Remote (ideally based in New Mexico, Austin TX, or National Capital Region / North East coast)
Travel: 25%
New Iron is seeking a Junior Solutions Architect with a focus on Recipe Management Systems (RMS) to support semiconductor manufacturing customer and government projects. This role involves implementing and integrating RMS solutions that manage process recipes, ensure configuration integrity, and streamline execution across tools and production lines.
Responsibilities
Support application modeling and integration for recipe management solutions in semiconductor manufacturing environments.
Collaborate with senior architects, process engineers, and MES/SPC/APC teams to align customer requirements with RMS capabilities and system constraints.
Lead configuration of recipe structures, version control, parameter sets, and approval workflows within the RMS.
Ensure robust data integration between RMS, MES, APC/SPC, equipment interfaces, and metrology systems.
Assist with building dashboards, reports, and alerts to monitor recipe usage, changes, and compliance across the factory.
Contribute to testing, validation, and deployment of new or updated recipes, including dry runs, simulation, and production rollouts.
Troubleshoot recipe-related issues spanning equipment configuration, data flow, and system interfaces.
Document technical designs, configuration standards, change procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
Contribute to improvement of solution templates, best practices, and standard configurations for RMS deployments.
Qualifications
2+ years of experience with Recipe Management Systems or related semiconductor manufacturing systems (MES, APC, SPC, or equipment automation).
Familiarity with semiconductor manufacturing processes, tool recipes, and equipment integration concepts.
Experience with databases and understanding of data flow between RMS, MES, and factory automation systems.
Scripting or automation (Python, shell, C#, or similar) is a plus.
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with an interest in process control and automation.
Excellent communication skills and ability to interface with cross-functional engineering and customer teams.
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical field.
