Role: Project Manager - Data Centre Infrastructure
Location: Hatfield - (1 week per month on site) + UK wide travel.
Type: Contract
Rate: £450 per day (Inside IR35)
Start: ASAP
Duration: Until April 2026
Overview
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead structured cabling and technology projects within mission-critical data centre environments. The role involves managing end-to-end delivery, ensuring projects are executed to high standards of quality, safety, and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver data centre and structured cabling projects to agreed time, cost, and quality targets.
Oversee full project governance, including planning, risk management, change control, and reporting.
Drive commercial accountability, including scope management and variation orders.
Support bids, pricing, and technical assessments for new opportunities.
Ensure compliance with Health & Safety, CDM, and statutory requirements.
Lead and support project teams with strong professional stakeholder engagement.
Promote process improvements and best practice across project delivery.
Required Experience & Skills
Proven experience managing projects within data centre environments (essential).
Strong understanding of data centre infrastructure and operational best practices.
Minimum 5 years' experience in structured cabling or related infrastructure projects.
Background in Network/WiFi transformation programmes is desirable.
Strong grasp of project governance-initiation, planning, risk, and change management.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Prince2 Practitioner or equivalent preferred.
SMSTS or similar Health & Safety qualification; ECS card desirable.
Additional Information
SC clearance is an advantage.
Expected travel: around one week per month on site.
Ideal for a proactive, pragmatic, and delivery-focused professional.
