I am hiring for Senior Senior AWS DevOps Engineer - (OpenShift/Kubernetes/CloudFormation/cloud networking/Banking/Fintech)
Location: Glasgow (Hybrid – 2–3 days onsite weekly)
Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior AWS DevOps Engineer with strong expertise in OpenShift, container orchestration, and cloud-native engineering. The role involves building and managing scalable AWS infrastructure, enabling seamless CI/CD automation, and supporting modern application delivery in a regulated financial environment.
Key Responsibilities
Design, implement, and maintain secure and scalable AWS infrastructure following cloud best practices.
Deploy and manage OpenShift clusters, ensuring efficient container orchestration and application hosting.
Develop and enhance CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or AWS CodePipeline.
Automate provisioning and configuration using Terraform, CloudFormation, and Ansible.
Manage core AWS services including EC2, ECS/EKS, API Gateway, Lambda, MSK, and RDS.
Implement containerization using Docker, Kubernetes, and OpenShift.
Required Skills
Extensive hands-on experience with AWS, containers, Kubernetes, and OpenShift.
Strong proficiency in infrastructure automation (Terraform, CloudFormation).
Solid knowledge of DevOps tooling (Jenkins, Git, Nexus, Bitbucket).
Expertise in Linux systems, cloud networking, and security best practices.
Experience supporting Java-based applications, APIs, and microservices in cloud environments.
