We are currently looking to hire a Manager of Medical Services (Commercial & Partnerships) to join our Corporate Team in Hereford, England, United Kingdom.

This position is (Non-Clinical | Strategic & Commercial Leadership | Non-Shift Based)

This position requires working onsite from our Hereford, UK Headquarters. Candidates must be able to work in the office full-time.

JOB DESCRIPTION

The Manager of Medical Services (Commercial & Partnerships) is a non-clinical, commercially focused leadership role responsible for aligning SPS's medical assistance services with sales, insurance, and client requirements. The role acts as the strategic interface between Medical Operations, Sales, and Insurance partners, ensuring that medical products, service levels, and contractual commitments are commercially viable, operationally deliverable, and margin-protected. This role does not hold clinical authority, medical governance responsibility, or decision-making responsibility for patient care. All clinical oversight and medical decision-making remain with Medical Operations and treating clinicians.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Strategic & Commercial Leadership

Act as the primary commercial and strategic link between Medical Operations and: o Sales teams
Insurance carriers and underwriters
Enterprise clients and broker partners
Shape and own the commercial positioning of SPS medical assistance offerings, including product tiers, scope, and value proposition.
Ensure medical services are aligned to broader business strategy, growth objectives, and insurance market requirements.
Full ownership of commercial, contractual, clients, and product governance for medical assistance services

Product, SLA & Contract Governance

Own medical service SLAs from a commercial, contractual, and performance perspective (not clinical delivery), ensuring they are:
Clearly defined and consistent
Contractually aligned
Operationally achievable and financially sustainable
Maintain and govern:
Rate cards and pricing structures
Service descriptions and scope documents
Ensure consistency across:
Client contracts
Policy wordings
Sales materials and proposals

Client, Insurer & Partner Engagement

Act as the senior commercial medical lead for medical-led or medical-heavy accounts.
Support and lead engagement with:
Insurance underwriters and carriers
Brokers and enterprise clients

Lead or support:
Underwriter due diligence processes
Capability reviews and audits
Service performance and contractual discussions

Sales Enablement & Growth Support

Support sales proposals, tenders, and RFP responses involving medical assistance services.
Provide clear, credible explanations of medical service structures to insurers and clients.
Ensure sales commitments align with operational capability and cost assumptions.

Financial & Margin Ownership

Own medical service margin, working closely with Finance and Operations.
Support revenue planning, forecasting, and pricing strategy for medical assistance services.
Identify and mitigate:
Cost leakage
Margin erosion
Commercial risk arising from misaligned contracts or SLAs

Operational Feedback & Continuous Improvement

Establish and maintain a structured feedback loop between:
Medical Operations, Sales, and Insurance Partners

Translate operational insight into:
Improved product design
Refined pricing and SLAs
Stronger commercial decision-making

Reporting, Compliance & Quality

Oversee reporting quality for medical-led accounts from a commercial and contractual perspective.
Ensure commercial compliance with:
Client contracts
Insurer requirements
Internal gov
