About The Role
This role focuses on building high-performance, scalable Java services at the core of an ultra-low-latency global trading platform. You'll work on complex, data-intensive systems that support real-time pricing, configuration management, and electronic trading operations. The ideal candidate will be passionate about developing robust software solutions that meet stringent performance and scalability requirements. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including quantitative research and trading professionals, to enhance platform capabilities and ensure seamless trading experiences for clients worldwide. Your contributions will directly impact the efficiency and reliability of our trading infrastructure, requiring a keen eye for detail, innovative problem-solving skills, and a solid understanding of financial services technology.
Qualifications
To succeed in this role, candidates should possess a strong foundation in core Java development, with proven experience in building high-performance, scalable applications. Prior experience within the financial services sector, particularly in trading or foreign exchange (FX), is highly desirable. Familiarity with front-end technologies such as JavaScript, TypeScript, and HTML5 is a plus, enabling effective collaboration with UI/UX teams. Candidates should demonstrate a solid understanding of computer science fundamentals, including data structures, algorithms, and system design. Experience with modern software development lifecycle (SDLC) tools, workflows, and engineering best practices is essential. A proactive attitude, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment are also important attributes for this role.
Responsibilities
Develop software across both functional features and non-functional objectives such as performance and scalability.
Build and maintain automated test coverage, applying test-driven development practices.
Investigate and resolve performance or bandwidth bottlenecks with creative, data-driven solutions.
Collaborate closely with quantitative research and trading teams on design, usability, and platform enhancements.
Produce clear technical documentation, including architecture decisions and complex code explanations.
