Main Responsibilities
Participating in the design and development of data engineering solutions under guidance from senior team members.
Helping to build and maintain data pipelines and workflows using modern tools and technologies.
Collaborating with product and business teams to understand requirements and translate them into technical tasks.
Contributing to testing, documentation, and deployment of data solutions.
Learning and applying best practices in data quality, security, and governance.
Engaging with the Data & AI Engineering community to share knowledge and grow your expertise.
Supporting continuous improvement efforts and bring fresh ideas to the team.
About You
Key Technical Requirements and Qualifications:
Must have participated in the Sanofi Digital Co-Op program at some point during 2024 or 2025 and be eligible for a May/June 2026 start date.
Must be legally authorized to work for Sanofi in Canada.
An undergraduate degree or higher in a STEM field preferred, with foundational business knowledge.
Experience with any or all of: data storytelling, strategy planning, project management, agile ways of working, business analysis, data analysis, data visualization, executive reports.
Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to tell a meaningful and persuasive story through reporting.
Strong critical thinker with decision-making and judgement skills.
Demonstrated leadership potential (e.g. through Student Organizations, previous jobs, etc.).
Passion for life sciences and global healthcare.
Academic or personal project experience with data tools and programming (e.g., Python, SQL).
Understanding of data structures, algorithms, and basic cloud concepts.
Preferred Requirements And Qualifications
Exposure to data platforms or tools such as Snowflake, Airflow, or GitHub is a plus.
Familiarity with data modeling, ETL concepts, or cloud services (AWS, GCP, Azure) is a bonus.
Interest in AI/ML concepts and how they apply to real-world problems.
Awareness of agentic AI systems, LLMs, or emerging AI technologies.
Experience with academic or personal projects involving data analysis, visualization, or automation.
Familiarity with tools like PowerBI, Tableau, Jupyter Notebooks, or version control systems.
