Job Specifications

Axis CLC is a national property maintenance and compliance partner, delivering essential repairs, refurbishment and building safety services that keep the UK’s homes and public buildings operating at their best. We combine nationwide capability with strong regional delivery and are trusted by housing providers, local authorities and a wide range of public-sector clients.

We are now seeking an experienced Partnership / Business Development Manager to own and grow a regional portfolio across the North. You will take responsibility for building a high-quality pipeline, developing senior client relationships, shaping pre-construction activity, and converting opportunities into profitable, sustainable contracts.

This role is based from our Morpeth office, with regular travel across the region to engage clients and partners. Hybrid working is available in line with business needs.

What You’ll Deliver

Build and maintain a qualified pipeline across the North, achieving quarterly pipeline and order-intake targets.
Identify market opportunities across repairs, planned, compliance and retrofit.
Protect key accounts through structured engagement and proactive growth plans.
Strengthen client satisfaction and NPS via regular reviews and rapid issue resolution.
Lead early capture planning, solution shaping and bid strategy to improve win rates.
Work with Operational and Commercial teams on scope, programme, risk, and technical proposals.
Support high-quality PQQ/ITT submissions with accurate, compelling content.
Enhance Axis CLC’s profile with frameworks, consortia and sector bodies.
Support Marketing teams with events, thought leadership and regional sector activity.
Support pricing strategy, benchmarking and commercial modelling (SoRs, KPIs, SLAs, gainshare and open-book).
Work cross-functionally with Operations, Commercial, Bids, Marketing, Finance, Compliance and Internal Comms to ensure seamless client delivery.

Experience We’re Looking For

We welcome candidates from social housing, construction, property maintenance, FM, and the wider built-environment supply chain.

We also strongly encourage applicants from building supplies, merchanting or materials distribution, particularly those who have sold into local authorities, housing providers or public-sector organisations. These backgrounds bring valuable transferable relationships and market understanding.

You will ideally have:

Strong business development, partnerships or account-growth experience within social housing, property services, construction, FM or building-materials supply into the public sector.
A proven track record of winning, retaining and growing contracts (repairs, planned works, compliance, retrofit or related services).
Strong commercial acumen, including pricing, KPIs, SLAs, risk allocation and SoRs.
Excellent stakeholder-engagement skills with confidence presenting at all levels.
Full UK driving licence and flexibility for regional travel.

What We Offer

Competitive base salary, and car allowance
Pension, medical scheme options and life assurance
25 days holiday + bank holidays
Perkbox (discounts, perks & wellbeing offers)
Long-service awards
1 paid volunteer day
Supportive, inclusive, people-focused culture
Training, development & real progression opportunities
