Term: 6 months Contract, Full Time
An enterprise-level public-sector organization is seeking an experienced Salesforce Data Engineer to serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) and technical authority in designing, implementing, and governing complex data solutions across multiple Salesforce platforms. This role supports large-scale digital transformation efforts aimed at improving service delivery, operational efficiency, and citizen or customer engagement.

The selected candidate will work within cross-functional teams including Salesforce product owners, AI/ML specialists, data governance groups, and business stakeholders, on initiatives powered by Salesforce Public Sector Cloud and other Salesforce technologies.
The Role
This technical specialist position involves architecting and managing enterprise data structures across both greenfield implementations and mature Salesforce environments. The Salesforce Data Engineer will lead data modeling strategies, optimize data flows, and develop scalable integrations. You will also contribute to the organization’s growing investment in AI-driven systems, including predictive models and generative AI assistants.
What You’ll Bring
Develop and maintain scalable data pipelines, ETL processes, integrations, and APIs between Salesforce and external systems.
Optimize data ingestion and transformation processes in alignment with Salesforce data architecture best practices.
Define and implement data storage, normalization, and performance strategies across multiple Salesforce orgs.
Lead data modeling efforts for Public Sector Cloud, Service Cloud, and Experience Cloud.
Oversee data migration, data quality, deduplication, and cleansing initiatives.
Design and deploy AI-powered agents that interact with Salesforce data for decision support, automation, and customer service needs.
Collaborate with AI/ML teams to integrate predictive models and generative AI tools (e.g., Einstein GPT).
Implement and support data governance frameworks across the Salesforce ecosystem.
Establish and maintain data standards, naming conventions, business glossaries, and metadata management.
Document data integrations, cleansing initiatives, and governance processes.
Required Experience & Certifications
Salesforce Platform Developer II (4–6 years)
Salesforce Certified MuleSoft Developer (4–6 years)
Salesforce Certified Platform Data Architect (7–9 years)
Salesforce Certified MuleSoft Platform Architect (7–9 years)
Proven experience with Salesforce data architecture, ETL, data modeling, APIs, and integrations.
AI/ML integration experience is a strong plus.
Experience in large enterprise or public-sector environments preferred.
