The Senior Social Media professional will lead the development and execution of a dynamic social media strategy across multiple platforms, shaping brand voice and engagement globally. This role combines creative storytelling with data-driven insights to grow and nurture a vibrant online community. You will oversee content planning, creation, and publishing while monitoring trends and conversations to keep the brand relevant and at the forefront of industry discussions. The position involves managing social media performance, experimenting with new formats and strategies, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to align campaigns with product launches and broader marketing goals. You will also act as a brand ambassador, ensuring consistent messaging and a fun, engaging presence online. The role is fully remote, offering flexibility to work independently while driving high-impact social media initiatives.
Accountabilities
Develop and implement a comprehensive social media strategy aligned with company goals.
Own and manage a cohesive content calendar, from planning through publishing.
Create, curate, and oversee engaging content across platforms like X/Twitter, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, and emerging channels.
Monitor social trends, conversations, and community sentiment to maintain a strong industry presence.
Engage with the online community, responding to inquiries and fostering relationships with users.
Analyze social media metrics to optimize performance, engagement, and growth strategies.
Lead experimentation around content types, posting cadence, and community-building initiatives.
Manage social media crises or PR issues to ensure a positive and professional brand reputation.
Collaborate with marketing and product teams to align social media campaigns with broader initiatives.
Requirements
5+ years of proven experience managing social media for a brand, ideally within crypto or fintech.
Demonstrated ability to create high-performing content that drives engagement and shares.
Strong creative skills and a deep understanding of current social media trends.
Excellent communication and copywriting skills with adaptability across platforms while maintaining brand consistency.
Highly organized, capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
Strong storytelling ability and the skill to inject personality and energy into brand voice.
Comfortable working independently in a fully remote environment.
Sense of humor, irreverent energy, and ability to bring fun to content creation.
Bonus: Experience with analytics tools, basic design software (Canva, Adobe Spark), AI content tools, hosting live events or AMAs, and public speaking.
