Role Overview

We are seeking a proactive Business Development Executive to support our Business Development Manager in executing strategic growth initiatives and delivering our annual business development plan. This is a key support role that requires strong organisational skills, excellent communication abilities, and a collaborative approach to working across multiple teams and departments.

The successful candidate will play a vital role in fee quote and proposal management, prospect research, marketing communications, and event coordination while ensuring consistency across all LawDeb group activities.

Job Role & Responsibilities

Overall Responsibility & Accountability

Assist the BD Manager in executing against agreed strategy and support the delivery of the annual BD Plan for [transaction services currently supporting Corporate Trust, Service of Process & Structured Finance)
Work with the broader BDM team on group business development and marketing activities, ensuring that services provided to LawDeb are consistent with the rest of the group

Business Development Support

Fee quote & Proposal Support

Develop and maintain template responses to frequently asked questions
Draft specific responses for fee quotes and proposal submissions in liaison with BD Manager and relevant subject matter experts
Coordinate the entire fee quote process from receipt through to response submission, ensuring compelling responses are created and deadlines are met
Assist in creating compelling presentation material for interview stages
Maintain comprehensive records of wins and losses for analysis and improvement

Prospect Management & Research

Manage prospect databases for LawDeb in agreement with BD Manager, keeping lists and activities current and accurate
Conduct detailed research on prospects to support the BD team's and wider subject matter experts’ activities
Monitor key competitors' activities and market positioning
Conduct targeted outreach activities with the referring legal network to showcase LawDeb's broader service offering including outreach and scheduling for regional and international visits for business heads and subject matter experts

Cross-Selling & Internal Collaboration

Identify cross-selling and introduction opportunities across all group business departments
Support the execution of cross-departmental business development initiatives
Facilitate connections between different service areas and client opportunities

Marketing Communications

Draft high-quality communications ensuring appropriate content, tone, and consistency for both digital and printed marketing collateral
Create and maintain up-to-date marketing materials relevant to business products in line with established branding guidelines
Ensure all communications reflect LawDeb's professional standards and brand values

Events Management

Support the strategic planning for attendance at key industry events
Assist in hosting events that exemplify and communicate LawDeb brand values and expertise in the professional services sphere
Coordinate event logistics to maximise opportunities for winning client work
Manage post-event follow-up activities and relationship development

Essential Knowledge, Skills & Experience

Education & Experience

Educated to degree level, with evidence of further study and/or additional qualifications in marketing and/or communications preferable
At least three years' experience in B2B/professional services business development, sales, or client support/account management roles with brands of reputable standing
Demonstrable experience, network, and knowledge of professional services will be a distinct advantage

Core Competencies

Knowledge and understanding of media platforms, including social media
Track record of proven delivery, demonstrating both creative and analytical skills
