Job Overview
Throne Solutions is seeking a detail-oriented and technically skilled Datacenter Technician to support operations at a client datacenter in Lyon, France. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with server hardware, cabling, racking/stacking, troubleshooting, and datacenter best practices. This role requires strong attention to detail and the ability to work in a structured, secure environment.
Key Responsibilities
Perform server installations, racking/stacking, cabling, and hardware replacements.
Conduct routine datacenter checks including temperature, alerts, equipment health, and cable management.
Troubleshoot and repair servers, storage systems, and network equipment at a hardware level.
Assist with equipment migrations, deployments, and decommissioning.
Handle assets: labeling, tracking, updating inventories, and maintaining service logs.
Follow datacenter safety, security, and access control protocols.
Coordinate with remote technical teams for escalations and configuration tasks.
Ensure adherence to SLAs and timely resolution of service tickets.
Required Skills & Qualifications
1–3 years of experience as a Datacenter Technician, IT Hardware Technician, or related role.
Strong understanding of server hardware (Dell, HP, Lenovo, etc.) and components.
Experience with patch panels, fiber/copper cabling, and cable management.
Ability to replace components (HDDs, RAM, PSUs, NICs, etc.).
Familiarity with networking basics (TCP/IP, switches, ports, patching).
Ability to lift and move datacenter equipment safely.
Good English communication skills; French language is a plus.
Ability to work in a high-security, process-driven environment.
Preferred Qualifications
Certifications such as CompTIA Server+, A+, or DC-specific certifications.
Experience with ticketing systems (ServiceNow, JIRA, Remedy, etc.).
Prior experience working with multinational IT service organizations.
