About the Company

Our client is a growing consultancy and information services business that supports organisations operating in specialist industrial and technology-driven markets. The company provides data-led insight, commercial research, and subscription-based services that help businesses make informed strategic decisions in complex global sectors.

As part of continued expansion, they are now looking to appoint a Business Development Executive to support new client acquisition and early-stage commercial activity.

The Opportunity

This is a proactive, relationship-focused position where you will be responsible for starting conversations with prospective clients, understanding their challenges, and identifying where tailored information services can support their goals.

Rather than high-volume or transactional selling, the role focuses on quality engagement, commercial curiosity, and identifying long-term opportunities. You will work closely with senior colleagues to progress opportunities once interest has been established.

What You’ll Be Doing

Initiating contact with prospective businesses via phone, email, and online platforms
Building an understanding of target markets and identifying suitable organisations
Exploring client challenges and assessing potential fit for data and insight services
Passing qualified opportunities through to senior commercial team members
Coordinating discovery calls, briefings, and product demonstrations
Accurately updating CRM systems with activity and opportunity data
Collaborating with marketing and sales colleagues to improve outreach approaches
Supporting overall revenue growth through consistent pipeline generation

Training & Progression

Comprehensive onboarding and induction programme
Guided training on products, markets, and commercial approach
Ongoing 1-to-1 support, coaching, and feedback
Clear development pathway towards Account Management or Senior Sales roles

Salary & Benefits

£28,000–£32,000 base salary depending on experience
Uncapped commission scheme
Hybrid role in Falmouth with a close-knit team environment
25 days holiday plus bank holidays
