Job Summary:
The Informatica Systems Analyst is responsible for analyzing business objectives, evaluating system requirements, and designing data integration solutions that support the Client’s enterprise analytics and performance management initiatives. This role supports the Client’s ongoing development of a centralized data integration hub and contributes to all phases of the SDLC using an agile methodology. The Analyst will work closely with technical teams, architects, and business stakeholders to design, develop, automate, and optimize data pipelines using Informatica Power Center/IICS, Oracle, Snowflake, and related technologies.
The ideal candidate possesses strong analytical skills, deep experience in Informatica-based ETL development, and proven capability in designing efficient SQL transformations, workflows, and automated validation procedures. This role requires the ability to interpret business requirements, propose system enhancements, create technical documentation, and collaborate within an agile development environment to deliver reliable, scalable data integration components.
Key Responsibilities
Analyze business objectives, system limitations, and data workflows to identify solutions that improve automation and overall system efficiency.
Conduct requirements gathering sessions with internal Client teams to document input/output needs, data formats, workflows, and system dependencies.
Prepare detailed functional and technical specifications, including data mapping documents, process diagrams, and system enhancement proposals.
Evaluate alternative technical solutions and conduct cost/benefit analyses to support system improvement recommendations.
Lead and support the design, development, and enhancement of the Client’s data integration hub.
Develop complex SQL scripts in Oracle and/or Snowflake to transform, cleanse, and integrate large datasets into dimensional models.
Build and automate ETL workflows using Informatica Power Center or Informatica Intelligent Cloud Services (IICS).
Acquire and integrate data from multiple sources, including Oracle, SQL Server, Excel, Access, Adobe PDF, and external systems.
Collaborate with architects and data engineers on optimal data design, data acquisition strategies, and performance enhancements.
Validate and verify SQL scripts, Informatica workflows, and database views to ensure accuracy, performance, and reliability.
Develop automated methods to perform data verification, quality assurance checks, and system validations.
Participate in all agile sprint ceremonies, including backlog refinement, planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
Produce mockups, technical documentation, diagrams, and specifications to support development and stakeholder communication.
Assist with configuration, implementation, and optimization of development tools and CI/CD processes.
Interpret new or changing business requirements and assess system impact, proposing necessary enhancements.
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to ETL pipelines, data transformations, system performance, and integration failures.
Support ongoing operations and enhancements of the Client’s data integration hub.
Perform all other duties as assigned to support data engineering, analytics, and performance management initiatives.
