About the Role

We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Back-End Software Engineer with deep expertise in ServiceNow to strengthen our IT Development team. In this position, you will play a key role in designing, analyzing, and validating IT process automations and integrations across our technology ecosystem.

This role is focused on analysis, architecture, integration design, and problem-solving — not on hands-on programming.

Key Responsibilities

Analyze, design, and test IT process automations on the ServiceNow platform
Design and test integrations between ServiceNow (cloud) and other on-premise or cloud applications, in collaboration with the API Gateway team.
Translate business requirements into clear, value-driven technical designs.
Conduct technical integration testing and validate end-to-end functionality.
Investigate and resolve complex technical incidents and defects.
Ensure the smooth operation and continuous improvement of integrations and workflows.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (infra, API, business, GCC) to deliver robust solutions.

Required Qualifications

Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience with ServiceNow, with solid functional and technical understanding.
Strong technical background and analytical thinking skills.
Fluent in Dutch and English.
Familiarity with IT infrastructure (servers, networks, cloud concepts) and a willingness to deepen that knowledge.
Understanding of JavaScript or another programming language (conceptual knowledge only).
