Position: CDE / Robotics Deployment Engineer

Location: UK – travel required

Type: Contract

Duration: Project/Assignment duration will vary – we have projects available for 2026

Overview: -

Successful candidates will be natural self-starters who have an Electrical/Mechanical Engineering and/or Construction background. The role will understand the details of Fulfilment Centre design, implementation, modelling, estimating and managing new or retrofit Fulfilment Centres. This job requires a unique combination of flexibility, creativity, innovation, leadership, and effective communication.

Responsibilities: -

Manage and track the installation progress, quality and validation of all electrical and mechanical systems installed by the Deployment Engineering team
Leading large teams through the setup and configuration of software, hardware, and robotics systems
Managing onsite relationships with multiple internal and external teams during the on-site implementation systems
Assist third-party assemblers by motivating and providing guidance and direction
Performing on-site hardware and software support during initial system deployment
Daily communication (written and verbally) with peers, management, contractors and vendors
Troubleshooting - Ability to identify problems and understand resources needed to resolve them
Tracking the deployment inventory, including spare parts, while working with the supply chain to resolve any discrepancies or issues

Skills & Accreditations: -

BS in Engineering, Management Information Systems, or a related technical field
Ability to prioritize, schedule, and logistically support multiple projects in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
Comfort with detailed and complex technology, including software, hardware and robotics
Self-motivated and able to solve problems independently and in team settings
Proven ability to communicate effectively, (written and verbally) with peers, management, contractors and vendors.
Demonstrated ability to multi-task and prioritize different projects and workload
Proven ability to work successfully with little supervision
Desire to perform a mix of technical and non-technical challenges
