Job Title: Datastage Developer

Location: Toronto, ON (3x onsite a week)

Employment Type: Contract

Pay Rate: CAD$40 - $45/HR INC

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and maintain ETL processes using IBM Datastage (v11.2 or higher).
Perform data analysis to understand data flow structures, identify anomalies, and resolve data issues.
Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
Optimize ETL workflows for performance and scalability.
Provide support throughout the SDLC, including development, testing, deployment, and post-production support.
Document technical designs, processes, and best practices.
Work in an Agile environment, participating in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.

Required Skills & Experience

5+ years of hands-on experience with IBM Datastage (v11.2 or higher).
5+ years of experience with SQL Server Management Studio and strong SQL skills.
Solid understanding of ETL concepts and data integration best practices.
Strong data analysis skills to troubleshoot and resolve data anomalies.
Proficiency in the SDLC cycle, from requirement gathering to post-production support.
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Nice-to-Have Skills

Experience with reporting tools such as Power BI, SSIS, or SSRS.
Familiarity with Autosys for job scheduling.
Exposure to Agile methodology, JIRA, and Confluence.
