Job Title: Senior Full-Stack Engineer ( Angular & Python)
Client: Kroger
Contract Length: 6+ months
Location: Remote (must reside in EST or CST states)
Pay Rate: $65–$70/hour on 1099
Role Overview
We are seeking a Senior Full-Stack Engineer to join the AI Enablement team supporting a high-visibility initiative. This role focuses on designing, building, and maintaining a data-driven web application that reports on usage metrics across multiple AI tools and capabilities. The goal is to provide leadership with a centralized platform to track adoption and usage across the organization.
This is a hands-on engineering role requiring strong full-stack experience, comfort with ambiguous requirements, and the ability to iterate quickly in a fast-moving environment.
Technology Stack
Front End: Angular, TypeScript
Back End: Python, FastAPI
Data: Databricks (Unity Catalog), Postgres
Cloud and Infrastructure: Azure, AKS, Docker, Kubernetes, Helm
Responsibilities
Develop and maintain full-stack web applications using Angular and TypeScript
Design and integrate FastAPI-based microservices
Build reusable UI components and scalable, low-latency cloud-native applications
Design and support data pipelines in Databricks, including Unity Catalog and Databricks Jobs
Manage data promotion across development, test, staging, and production environments
Participate in the full software development lifecycle, from design through deployment and support
Work closely with data scientists, product managers, designers, and engineers
Engage with Azure cloud services and containerized environments
Participate in sprint planning, estimations, and retrospective reviews
Develop subject matter expertise in the systems and products you support
Bring new ideas, perspectives, and continuous improvement mindset to the team
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, Mathematics, Business Analytics, or a related technical field
3+ years of experience with modern front-end frameworks, preferably Angular
Strong experience with JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, and CSS
Experience integrating RESTful APIs and working within microservices architectures
3+ years of experience with Databricks, data engineering, and schema design
Experience with Databricks Unity Catalog, CLI, and job orchestration preferred
3+ years of experience with container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
Experience deploying and supporting applications in cloud environments, preferably Azure
Strong understanding of CI/CD, automated testing, monitoring, and alerting
Experience delivering production software using Agile methodologies
Excellent communication skills, especially around technical concepts
Ability to work independently, make rapid decisions, and handle urgent issues
Comfortable working with vague requirements and fast iteration cycles
Willingness to learn new technologies and tools quickly
